Recently, I started the process of building a Web site. The Web site is called the My Edu Site Educational Learning Network. The purpose of the Web Site is to provide a platform where educational stakeholders can design, implement and evaluate the use of mobile technologies and social networking technologies in their existing curriculums.

There is no doubt that we are at the threshold of great things for education in which existing and new technologies will play an important role like no other time period. Unfortunately, public education has not fully grasped the usages of today's technologies, so there is a lot of room for innovative technologies that can potentially be used to increase student achievement. Don't get my wrong, there are a lot of good technological things out there that are student centered, but we are in the infancy of what technologies will work and what will not work to truly improve student achievement.

This is an exciting period for education because we are no longer in the "Industrial Period", but in the "Knowledg-Based Period." And, as a lifelong educator, I look forward in continuing to work with other people to help all students achieve meaningful knowledge sets and skills sets for a life as a 21st Century Citizen!
